    Playing In Traffic...

     All you have to do
    is wait for the next car,
    just wait,
               wait,
                     wait for it to pass...
    You know theres at least three behind it,
                but whatever,
                          you'll make it.
    Waiting
              waiting
                       waiting
                                 THERE!
    Gotta be,
             Gotta be
                                         a Viper.
    Damn....
    One
             two
                     three
    ZOOM!
                                           SCREECH!
    Your ass hits the front bumper,
                                stumble to the side.
    Youre okay.
                   You smile.
                               You wave.
    They flip you off
                         go on their way.
    Jackasses.
                  Oh well.
    At least you made it to the median
                           alive.
    Straddle it.
                  Crawl over.
    Hear the other kids scream your name.
    Your heart
    beats
              beats 
                        beats
    fast...
    'Cause this,
                         this
                                    right
                                              here...
    You die.
                Kids die....
    Shit.
    Horns blare.
                               Nothing like the other side.
    You got four lanes
    of full
              blown
                       semis,
                                 vans,
                                 the whole nine yards.
    You take a breath.
                           Take a step.
                                          And...

    You are so good at moving..moving..without letting up..moving. Excellent. Now I don't know if you'll feel complimented by this feeling of mine that I'm reading the last page of a stage play, or not, but I meant it as an homage to your skills.

    i enjoyed this, so freaking much. the way you phrased each line was amazing, you kept my heart in my throat the whole time! this makes me think of adrenaline highs just to feel alive, and i love that aspect of the poem. a perfect 10 here ^-^
