    Poem Commentary

    written in my English class as a warm-up :) inspired by the painting "Persistence of Memory" by Salvador Dali.

    Persistence of Memory

     Time ticking
       imprinting pictures on your mind
    that you'll forget as time passes...
       Memories that come
    and go,
       some dear to heart
    and others that quicken your pulse
       and cause you to close your eyes
    to hold back the fear...
       Feelings you wish
    you never learned
       because of the time
    and the times
       and the memories
    and memories of memories...
       The realization that
    the only way
       you can truly forget
    is when you are time-withered
       and weak-minded...
             ... or Death takes it all away...

    I really enjoy the exploration of the emotions caused by memories. I feel like this especially reaches out to those with unhappy memories. Great write

    The pain of memories is a lot to bare. Sometimes they hurt, sometimes they bring joy, and true there is only one true solution to resolve the pain that resides in people hearts, through their memories. Well expressed. :) 10.

    True shit. (Feelings you wish you never learned) - You cannot unlearn the experience found. Seems the brain is way too absorbent. And here we thought forward momentum always equals gain hahah. Life is so full of mysteries. Perhaps there is no right road. There is only experience. So we have to be sure to experience something we are not afraid to carry with us for the rest of our lives, till (Death takes it all away...) I like the seriousness of your writes StillHere. Not afraid to take it there...
