Getting in Touch With Your Blackness
Getting in Touch With Your Blackness
Realizing who you are
the beauty of your ebony skin
knowing the core of the brightest star
aluminates deeply from within
the spiral locks of your wooly hair
your flesh's lovely skin tone
the broad lips, exotic and rare
holds a beauty all it's own
lost children of royalty
monarchs without a throne
reclaim your rightful dignity
icons of ebony stone
though your quest for equality
for now seems unbalanced
your potential for creativity
remains forever more unchallenged
accepting your natural beauty
is the right place to start
in fact it is your duty
and a priority of the heart
regain your self esteem
you are originally designed
re-establish the quest for your dream
as ordained by the one who's divine
get in touch with your blackness
you are children of the light
knowing yourself the fact is
ignorance will soon fade from sight
