    I Dance With the Stars

AS THE EVENING SUN LIES DOWN BEHIND
    A FAR AND DISTANT HILL
IT SIGNALS TO ME IT IS THE TIME
    TO REST AND BE STILL

AND REFLECT ON ALL THE GOODNESS
GOD HAS SHOWN TO ME TODAY
AND TO THANK HIM FOR HIS MERCY
AS SUNLIGHT TO EVENING GIVES WAY

AS I STARE INTO THE EVENING SKY
THE STARS SEEM TO DANCE IN DELIGHT
REJOICING IN THEIR GOD ON HIGH
THEIR CREATOR OF TRUTH AND MIGHT

THEN I TOO REJOICE IN HIM
FOR HE IS MY GOD AS WELL
FOR HE BRIGHTENED MY WAY THAT WAS SO DIM
AND FREED MY SOUL FROM HELL

I JOIN THEM IN THEIR DANCE OF PRAISE
    TO THE GOD OF ETERNITY
FOR HE LIFTED THE DARKNESS FROM MY DAYS
AND IN LOVE HE SET ME FREE

hello, good Christian witness. usually, however, i like to see story line in a slice. . . some very crisp images would help how do you see this? who the audience? for the Body of Christ or as a missions effort? being all caps may not be as effective as upper/lower case dean www.chapbookwriter.com

Such a beautiful write..God Bless My Friend & You Are Truly Excellent Poet!!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
