Socially Divided
Socially Divided
To me it is a gross Malfeasance
To proudly recite the pledge of allegiance
With your hand proudly held on your chest
While away from some they want their civil rights to wrest
As loudly and proudly patriotically they call
They believe in Liberty and Justice for all
But it seems rather suspect to me
Their definition of justice and liberty
Is justice for anyone of ivory skin
While liberty for some they think it’s a sin
As they racially did way back when
Those who the creator blessed with dark skin
Were considered only three fifths human
And some want to go that way again
To blatantly bring racial bias back
Much more since we’ve elected a president who’s black
I hate to keep harping on this tid bit of history
But it seems unmistakably clear to me
That in this abundantly blessed country we called united
In all reality we are socially divided
