    Just Won't Die

    Just Won’t Die

I searched love for fidelity’s golden ring
Only to find there was no such thing
For every woman that I’ve ever known
Was never mine alone for long

    For somewhere along the way
Lust for another caused them to stray
Not only did they go willingly
But told me of their unfaithfulness defiantly

The lovelier the woman the more likely to
    Infidelity’s torment take you through
And when the game she chooses to play
Nothing you can do or say

Will persuade or convince her to stay
As in forbidden sex she wants to have her day
Meanwhile thousands of needles of pain
Attack your heart again and again

And memories of what was done
Over and over in your mind rerun
The pain and the agony that you felt
As despair’s rocks of agony your emotions pelt

Running you through misery’s gauntlet of pain
Until little if any resolve remain
And you wonder why, though hard you try
The will to love again just won’t die

    H. Wilson

Loved it, much truth in this write. Words maybe a little rough for some, the point is not missed. People do give up on the opposite sex sometimes after too many of these relationships. Been there, done that ... its always been amazing ... the harder we try, the less we manage to hold something sometimes. It always takes two working at it, even the two holding inner beauty.

Thats beautifully sad and true...the the key looking for inner beauty.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
