The Living Spoken Word
The Living Spoken Word
For those of you who may not know it
God is the original and Master Poet
For he is the author of true poetry
And writes the ending to and beyond eternity
For eternity is just a word he gave man
To try his greatness to understand
In fact the very first spoken word
Was only by the ears of the almighty heard
As he said let there be light
And the dawn of creation came into sight
And for six days with the words let there be
He set the foundations for eternity
And to supply all of eternity’s needs
He spoke into existence the seeds
That would in it’s season bring forth it’s kind
In a masterpiece that goes beyond rhyme
He is the creator and innovator
Of spoken word of which we are only imitators
And if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
In the name of our lord Jesus so let it be
So for poets who receive divine inspiration
Of spoken word that leads to salvation
Speak loudly until every ear has heard
Of Jesus the Christ the living Spoken word
