    Where did Happily Ever After Go

    Where did happily ever go
    And when did it leave
    Upon leaving didn’t it know
    It would cause many to grieve

    When did the phrase I’ll love you forever
    Don the brand new dress
    Of let’s be friends but lovers never
    And it’s shiny sequins of shallowness

    When did we’re in this for the long haul
    Become a phrase literally unspeakable
    And when did we drop relationship’s ball
    Making live so unlovable

    When did we show the door
    To love peace and harmony
    Sending them to the city of Nevermore
    Embracing a tainted reality

    When did a loving relationship
    Became a false public mask to show
    Leaving this question we ask of it
    Where did happily ever after go
