Debating Still
Debating Still
One day as a serious thinker did walk
His id and his ego decided to talk
As they both began to question the other
And criticize the differences of one another
The id told the ego he was too self indulged
The ego questioned why the id held a grudge
For it was well known the id’s compulsiveness
Had brought the ego and the thinker many days of stress
The id then brought to the ego’s attention
How his egotism brought many days of dissension
And so the two continued their heated debate
Both bringing points to which the other might relate
For the length of the thinker’s walk they debated
But neither of their concerns could be sated
For both the ego and the id were headstrong
And continued their sparring as the man walked along
Neither giving ground as the debate continued heatedly
As each their point they tried to make the other see
Both the ego and the id were possessed with iron will
And it’s of a certainty they are debating still
Debating Still
