"DON'T FEAR THE REAPER?"
"Don't Fear the Reaper?"
The Reaper's thin, boney hand
Has been reaching out - touching
How much more can one person stand?
If feels as if you know me
Lately you have been watching, touching
Those I care for; why should this be?
It is either them or their loved ones
The Reaper is not predjudiced
He'll take a young father that leaves a tiny son
Boney, cold fingers touching my best friend
Three kids, and she's still quite young
Now she waits and ponders for the end
Ever since you ripped my dad from my life
He only just retired, it was his time
Time to be through with daily strife
But no, The Reaper saw it another way
He ended the strife permenantly
Causing more pain, more then I can take to this day
The song says, "Don't Fear the Reaper"
How is that possible?
He walks with stealth in his death sneakers
Touching the lives of those I love
Why not just take me instead?
I'll hold your boney hand 'til eternity above
How dare you inflict so much pain?
Who appointed you; gave you the right?
To leave your mark, leave your bloody stain?
