"HEARING NATURE SING"
"HEARING NATURE SING"
Standing still
Hearing nature sing
Song of the whip-poor-will
Has such a sweet ring
Amazing what I hear
Warm breeze wooshing by
So close to my ear
It makes me want to fly
Every creature speaks
It may not say a word
But each has a message
And wants to be heard
My ancestors speak to me
Whispering my name
You too, may be free
'Cause it never stays the same
Voices hang in the air
Like the aroma of flowers
On a spring day I'm aware
That I can do anything
As long as it's done with care
Such a beautiful wonder
An angels feather floats to the ground
Lightning flashing, claps of thunder
What a thrilling sound
Hearing nature sing
I'm in complete awe
How often I hear these things
And all that I saw
The roar of an ocean wave
Or leaves that gently rustle
Whispers from my elders grave
Birds chirping over head
Bees are busy buzzing
Off to a flower bed
When I close my eyes to meditate
I'm hearing nature sing
I don't want to negotiate
Not one single thing!
