CONFUSED

He lost his love to a new man
His lady love is gone
Why this has happened, he doesn't understand

She was treated like a lady
He was so good to her all the time
You could never call him shady

Panic grips his heart
Not quite sure what to do
His pain is excruciating from the very start

She's been abused much of her life
Doesn't know how to deal
She's so afraid he wants to make her his wife

This is a role she has played before
A wife and mother, no freedom to breathe
She took her last beating, and headed for the door

He would never do this, hitting a woman isn't his deal
He treats women with the utmost respect
Confused, thinking this was his appeal

Not understanding the trauma she has been through
This is all so foreign to him
He doesn't know what to do

She can't let him in
Never let anyone too close
 Know your secrets, and they can surely win

She wants to love again, but doesn't have a clue
How to let those walls down
Paralyzed with fear, she doesn't know what to do

How can she trust after what she has gone through?
Every man she's ever known has used her
Just for something to do

Finally she met a decent man
No chaos in her world
She tries to pick a fight to see if she can

He doesn't want to harm his love
Not in any way, shape or form
He'll need a lot of patience and intervention from above

So why did she run to another man
If she's so afraid?
So used to the chaos, she'll find it where she can...
