"THAT KISS"
THAT KISS
{By Dori Wheeler 05sept09}
Here we are, it's almost dark
Our first date, and I'm so nervous
You brought me to see a concert in the park
Under the shimmery blanket of stars
The moon is waning
But we can still see Mars
As we sit on the blanket that your mom wove
You gently put an arm around me
Your body heat is as warm as a wood stove
Romance is in the air
Our bodies swaying to the music
I want to kiss you, but do I dare?
You sit behind me with your body wrapped around mine
It feels so nice, so safe, so right
I lean back into you, bodies enmeshed so fine
I feel the warm breath of one soft kiss
Placed perfectly on the side of my neck
Suddenly I can not hear the music, I can only focus on this
You are unaware of the impact of that kiss
The romance of this night, the stars, the music
Your strong arms, and the moistness we'll call bliss
As this sensual night winds down, I will forever wonder
Was it magical for you, like it was for me?
Did it feel so right to you, like lightning and thunder?
