    Poem Commentary

Not Politically Correct - Yet it might be Correct - anyway

    A sound philosophy of WAR

If you are going to have destructive enemies
You must be more destructive than they - Else
you will soon all be speaking their language, and following their laws.

Your Motto must not be "In God We Trust."
That won't get you anywhere but killed.
[A mythical God will not help you - Only you will help you!]

Be the best you can be - In Living AND Dying!
    Let this be your Motto:
"Generous in Peace - Viscous in War"
Let all men want you as Friend - none want your ire.

(And, by the way - If some one's god is so good - Do you think it would create a bunch of lunatics?)

Perhaps you have spent more time on thinking about war. I have spent my time on trying to understand Life. And religion ain't the answer...

LOL! The only war I think about is who got my last bottled water!!!

When I think of your wars, I think of you and your sister[s]. Sounds like a fine relationship.

Desmotti, it is not enough to say God is good - Man is bad. I merely correct your slight misread...What I wrote was God is good...Man is not God. What I mean by this...is God can only be God if he is light...truth...Good...and all the attributes that make one Omniscient...Omnipotent...etc...And that man is not yet nor in mortality-will ever be pure...light...truthful...all the attributes we are hopefully striving to attain. It is the choice of man that categorizes him...and places him into the Builder and Breaker...for Good and Bad are relevant only to the particular condition of the man at his current state...all in all we believe in similar...but our view of God is not...for a God I believe in cannot be tainted by the lack of understanding (sorrow, wrong doings, etc) I have of this Super Ego...so I sojourn knowing I am limited, yet must not limit the creator regardless of how much I wish to blame Him/Her on particular circumstance

(And, by the way - If some one's god is so good - Do you think it would create a bunch of lunatics?) The problem with man is...we put to much emphasis on God's hand in what we don't like, rather than what we do. Men were egos given the abilities...but like a child reared in heartache and sadness...so doth it's life produce both above mentioned...Lunatics usually have lost there mind...where at some point they had it. God is good...men...well they are not God.

WOW - We could have a conversation over a couple of pots of coffee. or emails, without the coffee.

I believe what you say is true; that said, the method of thinking that ends one war, seems to create the next. 10

I think we all want to believe all men are good - but it takes more than a belief. As the farmer said about the stubborn mule, when he hit it with a 2 by 4, "First you have to get his attention,"

A sound bite of solid might, better than a light meal of lite ideals. Drew.

Thanks, Drew - sorry about 'vicious.'

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
