Musings of love and lost love

    IF YOU LOVE...

If you love - but never consummate that love
you will love, ever - and without cost.

If you love and through foolishness
destroy that love - that love will be lost.

And it may take forever to recover
the depth of that love again...

WHAT? Consumate don't consumate, foolish love, not. There is no one way in love. You will lose and you will find. It will be Foolish, fun, sad, and a hundred other ways. What ever love finds you or you it you will always remember it's tast. Love is a candy store of emotion. If there is only one kind of love you standing out side the window. Open the door lay your money down and tast the sugar. P.S. if I did not get the meaning of this poem and I'm of base please disregard

What I said was you can love without possessing, and that love will always be yours. Love and screw up and you have lost it. One you will remember your whole life. Divorce will be the result of the second. Or something similar. Nothing fancy here - just the way it is.

If we love everybody, and handle everyone with the greatest care...hopefully it will become reciprocal. Not always. Your poem was wonderfully done, and deserves to be on a plaque.

The older I get the more I realize my life is controlled and determined by me. It is not important if it is reciprocated as I would like it to be. I must be in control. My loving is more important than my being loved. Yes? Thanks for for the visit.

Love is such a frail thing so must treat it like heart sugury slow andwith gentle hands . And then it will always last

Yes - to be in the moment and appreciate love and the loved in the now - and with no regrets. So often we discover it too late.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
