    Alternating trochaic and iambic lines - metered just for fun.

    All Rhythm and no Rhyme nor Reason

    Once I thought I knew it all
    But now I'm not so sure
    It was just a mental fart
    I guess I'll have a beer

    Could I but remember it
    I'd be the smartest one
    Time has told me other wise
    It's just an ol man's dream

    So I guess I'll read some more
    And test my memory
    But I think it is too much
    I'd best go have a rest

    This is cute, and true. I take vitamin supplements, and one of them is for memory. I told my brother who is older than I am, that I couldn't remember what the pill was for. In front of our guests he said "It is supposed to help improve your memory." They all got a kick out of that, but not my brother because he takes the same pill. We strive to learn all that we can learn. We lose it all in the end, and it wearies us just in the thinking...as you said in your words. Such is the cycle of life. Nice job Stryx, as usual.

    Ah - sibing one-ups-man-ship. I think perhaps there are more important things to learn, that we don't have to remember - like forgiveness, love, and just being kind.
