    Poem Commentary

I wrote this about my son's ex-girlfriend who has taking a liking to me...One of these ol' days she's gone be legal

    Almost Jailbait

    She was seven-teen....
                              almost jail-bait
    Eight-teen just around the corner,
                                          can I wait?
She was slim and sexy as hell
I bet she could rock this old jock and crack the bell
She's my son's ex whom he lost on a mishandle
Lawd, I could see the headlines
"Dirty old man caught in a sex scandal"
I guess for now I can only look and not touch
But just lookin' at that phat booty don't do me much
But in the back of my mind I could hear the cell doors clingin' shut
    So I said to myself,
"I don't want to get to know Bubba,
nor do I want him to get to know my butt"---literally

Don't let the cover fool ya, too young to know, no matter what she's got to show. Jail aint no joke, a pinch or a poke. LOL. Write on....

This is a great poem. It's absolutely true and so utterly candid that nobody could keep from laughing. I lot of your stuff shows real talent & you write so you can be understood. Of COURSE you piss people off ! ! Man, if you're not pissing a few people off, you're not telling the truth !

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
