TOO BLACK, TOO STRONG

"THE LAND OF THE ORIGINAL MAN"

To be born of African heritage
is to be born of the original man
Skin is dark as the depths of Africa
while strength was laid in hand
Eyes are like those of a raging bull
Proudest of tribe with features that are full
Body empowered with a spiritual soul
which can't be bought, taken or sold
Knowledged with wisdom from which God has bestowed
Yes! I'm proud to be born of the original man

Thank You Father

Hey man, nice to see someone is strong and proud of where they come from. In this messed up and confused world, we're never good enough. Never our colors pleases certain eyes, so power to you.

A very powerful and well written piece that speaks volumes about the pride of ones heritage. True strength comes from the heart and soul.

A great poem of praise as we all should give thanks as to who we are. good job'

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
