Dear Dr. Journal
This is the beginin’ of somethin’ I know will end
My journal? My journey? I don’t know which or when
I've come a long ways and yet have a ways to go
Where I end up only God knows
So I began writin’ to let my pen flow
As I move onward my writing began to grow
Dear Dr. Journal;
Daym another entry?
And I’m still in the same century?
Well n-e-ways I got pulled over today and was given three citations
I prayed a quick prayer that they wouldn’t haul me off to the poepoe station
Failure to yield to a eight-sided sign
Daym an eighty-one dollar fine
Buckle up, it’s the law
Caught by “The Man” in blue was a fatal flaw
Added to the bill makes it a total of one-twenty-eight
Don’t forget the third ticket, its for a court date
Silly me couldn’t find my insurance card to prove that I was insured
Now I got thirty days to keep my freedom secured
Off goes the blue lights and I’m homeward bound
Drivin’ home mad from the north side of town
