Day One
In bed at night, I really can't sleepThinking of the body parts to tighten, before I compete
Dreams of being on stage, all eyes on me
All of the hard work, was for this moment you see
Prior to this moment, here's what I did to prepare
First I shopped around for speedo underwear
Preperation in the gym, starts at three a.m
A few warm up sets, stretching and then
It's time for buisness, I load on the weights
On the bench, 225, 275,315, that's three plates
On each side of the bar, I take a deep breath
Lifting the bar to bring down slow, for my first rep
Bringing it down slow, to push up with explosion
Only to bring it back down, and repeat the same motion
Four sets for three benches, then dumbell flyes
Then a few dips, you can tell by the cries
Or grunts and groans, the sweat on my face
That I'm focused and hurting, but I must win first place
Now cooling down, i recap and think
Plans my afternoon workout, sip my protein drink
Saying to myself, "today I had fun"
It's along week, this is only day one
