Every Object
Visions of you, in every object I see
Especially when in the mirror, I see you not me
Reaching out to touch, when I do you're gone
So I close my eyes and there you are, but not for long
Thirsty for love, turn to the sink
Fill my glass and there you are, stop to think
Taking a sip, so your love I taste
Reaching in the water, your image I erase
I pour a little more, but you don't return
A sensation in my chest, my heart begins to burn
I look out the window, I see you past by
Looking at me, tears fill my eyes
A smile on your face, so beautiful you are
In every object I see, so close but so far
Wanting you near, right here with me
When I'm not with you, you're in every object I see
