My Hood...
Kids on the basketball court, hustlas on the side.. Young ladies posted on the corner, waiting on a a ride.. I close my eyes.. Gun shots in the distance, a fight breaks out.. Sirens screaming getting closer, cops in route.. They arrive on the sceen, guns in hand.. Why it has to be like this, I don't understand.. Welcome to the hood..
Posted up in front of bodegas, smell the weed in the air.. Shorties gossiping in the beauty shop, to the one who does their hair.. Cars with music loud, all we hear is the bass.. Lil dudes runnin around, skinny jeans worn below the waist.. Eating on Ox tail, tasting so good.. Sippin on my beer, this what you see in my hood..
Nationalities from every where, all over the world.. Panamanians, Haitians, mad Jamaican girls.. Radio stations going, Hot ninety-seven.. To some this is hell, but for us this is heaven.. Just a good feeling, this is what we know.. Brooklyn New York, and hard we go.. So when I'm out here, i know it's all good.. I wouldn't trade this for the world, This is my hood..
