My Reflection
The breeze blows the grass, flowers grow wildWith every passing thought of you, I smile
As I walk I brush ever blade of grass, such perfection
Standing at the edge of the lake, is my rippled reflection
Off in the distance, I hear the thunders rumble
Lightening dancing in the clouds, graceful and humble
Rain begins to fall, glazing my skin
Looking to the sky, then back to the lake
Such the perfect view, it almost looks fake
Mentally sound, as you weigh heavy on the heart
Brightening the day, even though the sky is dark
Thinking the feeling of you skin, matches the rain against mine
Ever so soft, forgiving, gentle and kind
Closing my eyes, I picture you here
Thunders rumble, drawing you near
Wiping the rain from you face, replacing them with kisses
Wind blowing your hair, at this lake I wish this
Lightening striking near, but I have you and Gods protection
Opening my eyes with a smile on my face, there I stand in my reflection
