Away
I’m walking away from the painthe escape that which embodies me
seeking shelter in the rain
When you are surrounding thee
I’m running away
To forget everything
That has happened
Between you and I
I’m driving to create distance
To keep the peace.
Which is all we have left in this resistance
Rather silence, does cease.
I’m driving faster now, more than ever
my foot revs louder than before
The music's cranked blocking so clever
Words go unheard as the peddle hits the floor.
The engine's nears dying
These gears I keep grinding
This path you’ve chosen
Well my soul it keeps taking
Turning sharp far too quick
See nothing in front of me
Yet never look back
For I see my path now
Cold days of darkness
My foot made heavy with lead
This car's armory in a mess
This way of driving to end up dead.
One mighty crash
Huge ball of flames so bright
An explosion, a flash
A near blinding light
I'm now amidst pieces of this wreckage
That is known as your chaos causing havoc
For you’ve left and I’ve nothing to salvage
Never to return I hope it leaves you awestruck
