Running Rampid
Running rampid through the streetsWithout self-control in solitude
Alone in utter ignorance
Seemingly a ticking timebomb
Waiting for the fuse to light
A wrong look or unspoken word
Just the slightest thing could turn for the worst
Without feeling, without even thinking
Innocent or guilty it really matters not
The mind takes over
Losing all grip on sanity
Ripping and tearing we all fall apart
The mind shatters
Breaking as it all falls to pieces
Losing it we all meltdown
Mad and violent
We try not to kill
The ones we love
For they know are pain
What it takes for us just to live
We hate what we have
And envy those who have what we want
We don't know why
Or bother even to try
Because the human mind
Is so very complicated
It makes us all
Just the way we are
Decisions and actions
Personalities and weaknesses
Strengths and desires
Love and lust
Confused by it; we all are
We go crazy
While going seemingly nowhere
Running rampid through the streets
