Wants

Sometimes you wish for riches or power
To have everything, anyone has ever wanted
Not knowing what the real benefits may be
You want to be popular and beautiful
But whom says popular is right
And whom says you aren't truly beautiful already
Not thinking you are good enough
Wanting to be smart and trustworthy
Yet not caring whether things should be earned, just given
Wanting someone to have and hold
Til death do you part
Wanting them to be perfect just for your needs
Not forgiving their faults no matter what
Wanting the best material items
That money can by
Because you deserve them right?
Not willing to put forth the effort
To make that old addiction
the happiest thing you, and them could truly enjoy
You want to be set upon a pedestal
Admired, worshipped, and forever known
Throughout all the lands and sea's
Not thanking those who helped get you there
I want to be left alone with all my thoughts
To think about life and how meaningless it is to me
And what exactly I can expect from a future such as this
Not having to discuss the things
That plague my mind at night
I just wantto be ignorantly happy
Once again, for my own sake
