Fool's Game
Why do we careWhen it hurts us this much
Deep down inside where no one can see
Love is a fool’s game
With no sense of direction
Pushing and pulling
At are fragile state
The warmest feeling of joy
The warmest feeling of joy
Ends with a hole in our hearts
When your one and only
Is someone else’s
My thoughts seem to race
And love has lost again
While running in circles
Around the truth
That we know is there somewhere
It’s great one second
It’s great one second
With everything to lose
Now lost in the nothingness
When you’re gone
Wanting something so much
Convincing ourselves it is reality
While being slapped in the face
And made love’s jester
Because I’m caught up again
In a mad rush of loves fame
Where it seems we are just
Meaningless and senseless pawns
Playing a fool’s game
With our tenuous hearts
