My Mind

Sky high is where I want to be
Shoved down, and stepped
Underfoot is where I am

Living and fighting for what I want
yet, can never get
The happiness I sought
for so many reasons

Unforeseen forces, holding me back
To the hell I've been given
For far to long

Aren't the affects apparent
Deprssed and angry
Bitter and shallow

I'm alone with my darkness
In the cob-webbed corners
Of a lonely mind
That only wants praise
Some attention for what it is

Individual and original
A one-of-a-kind
through and through

But the redundancy of this shit
is overbearing and ignorant
Taking all my fun days away
and replace them with emptiness

Trying to remain sane
Be responsible and smart
Put a smile on my face
To ward them away
Although it never seems to work
My mind always races
but it will never ever win
