    Poem Commentary

    Popped in my head today while finishing off Thanksgiving dinner. I remember working at Wal- mart on a black Friday a few years ago and I was assaulted by a customer while trying to come back from my break. A friend of mine had the shoe she was wearing ripped off her feet the same year while shopping on black Friday. People are crazy and will do anything to save a buck.

    Black Friday

     Friday, Friday,
    It's black Friday.
    Leave the kids home.
    It is not safe.

    Fighting, stabings,
    Riots too.
    Is there nothing,
    So called humans will not do.

    Guard your cart,
    Look not away,
    For many just wait,
    To be able to take.

    Learn to duck,
    Because punches do fly.
    Greediness sky rockets.
    Some people have died.

    All of this,
    To save a dollar,
    When you need only to save,
    To get what you desire.

    Nice write. All so true. I only went two times when my kids were younger and didn't get anything. My husband n I were just too astonished to see people acting like wild animals, running everywhere, stumping ppl, and fighting each other for things. We just left both times n went to eat something. Since then we start shopping weeks ahead from black Friday. We see nice toys on sale just buy it n stock it in the closet for xmas for one of our nephews or nieces.

    I am glade you liked the poem. ppl are insane on black Friday. I refuse to do any shopping anywhere on that day.
