    Poem Commentary

this isn't my normal way of writing but it came to me so i said "what the hell, i'll give it a try. everyone thinks it. everyone wonders about it. so why does no one have the courage to say it. it is time for the silence end and us to open our eyes. at least i think so.

    Ramblings of My Mind

The sheer and utter stupidity of society amuses me.

We are quick to judge others but not so quick to judge ourselves.

It is relatively easy for us to place the blame on everyone else but it is not so easy to look
within and realize the fault is our own.

We all do things we shouldn't, say things we shouldn't, even think things we shouldn't but no
one seems to have the strength to stop.

No one seems to have the ability to decide for themselves “ I will not do these things anymore,
will not say these things anymore, I will not think these things anymore”.

Does no one realize the simple truth of “ it could end with me”?

    Apparently not.

For society still accepts murder as normal while it turns it's back on child abuse and seems to
not care about the neglect of our elderly or our young or our helpless.

To this day society still turns a blind eye to all those in need and appears to be deaf to the cries
    and pleas for help.

Society seems only to care for itself.

Instead of helping it gets drunk and starts fights.

It closes it's eyes, turns it's back, and plugs it's ears.

But I think the saddest thing is that I belong to this society......and so do you.

It is time we stood up

It is time we spoke out.

It takes only one person to start a crowd, only one to begin a movement.

    Think about it.

    The
end of indifference could start with you and me.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
