Indecision
A timid heart debates,
Unexpected options delivered by fate.
A path she never thought to take.
Could this be her greatest mistake?
Or could the regret be to turn away?
To not take a chance for safety's sake.
To not see what the past may have possibly held,
If courage had not been so late in bringing her out of her shell.
Never unfaithful has she been.
But a spark she cannot find within.
Toe curling desire is what she craves.
She doesn't see much of that these days.
Take a plunge or stay dry on land?
Will courage fail or curiosity win?
Find out now what might have been,
Or let the opportunity slip by, lost to the winds?
His faith in her she couldn't bare to be lost.
Their friendship she will protect at all costs.
But who could be safer to stoke her passions within,
Other than the one who has never judged her no matter the sin?
Options, choices, decisions to make.
Heaven help me, the indecisiveness of late.
Do I draw upon a hidden courage within,
Or do I remain trapped by the fear of rejection?
