I Am Here For You
I watch you raging,
But I know it's to hide the pain.
I hear you joking,
But the mask you wear is easy for my eyes to see.
Most don't know you well enough,
Or aren't willing to look beneath the surface,
To know that your heart is in agony.
They don't see how much this hurts.
But I feel your grief.
I feel it radiating off of you in waves.
I have no chance of relating to what you're experiencing,
But how I wish I could take away your pain.
I can't begin to understand,
The loss you're going through.
The weight of sorrow laid upon your heart,
Is more than many could endure.
All I can do is be here for you.
Vent, cry, express however you need.
Together we will make it through this.
For you, here, I will always be.
