    Vampires' Moon

    A vampires’ moon draws me,

    absent interiors, into its drunken, gloomy light.

    Into violent actions under cool, soft leaves

    whispering on the wind in wispy shadows sight.

     

    An anchored timeless engagement to the underworld

    would spore voracious, vile temperaments of evil.

    Frightening and unquenchable, never to be suppressed,

    seeking to destroy, taking flight in your bloody drink undressed.

     

    Falls against me with intoxicated, hazy, sullen gaze, the prey.

    The wrath that dwells beneath, words can’t replay.

    Eyes search to make the faint, beauty glimmer once more.

    Whilst the drain of life, gleans a grim smile from my lips.

     

    Dawn approaches, disappear I must now,

    soaked in salty, lucid, bloody lust.

    Lay tranquil, sleep, dear sweet, swiftly savored jewel,

    as your corpse is taken into dust.

    Wow...This is AMAZING! You brought such an intense tone to the underbelly of your predators motives...it is chilling, the way the seduction flows with the dread...I LOVE this one!! ~10 from me

    Very creepy, yet also erotic. Hmmm...was that your intent? A great job. Vampires always give me the creeps. I never understood the female attraction. I do get the analogies though. Oh what a tangled web you weave Miss Marty. How is your husband ever able to sleep at night...if you get my drift. Me thinks he should do so with one eye always open. Beware of the one eyed vipor...Thanks for sharing...K

    It truly comes from the poetic side of me, only. There is nothing harmful to it. Years ago, I became fascinated with Vampires with the reading of a series of books penned by Ann Rice. They left an lasting impression on me. Many thanks for reading it and your thoughts.

    I will disagree on one point with the venerable Knight, may he be chivalrous forever! I love when your darkness is exposed to your bold beams of the lighted insight and you will answer your own darkness with a brilliance of words that shines as a beacon to minister to the fallen distressed ( your words have drained my strength to the point of faint reflection, sorry) The joy of death's kiss is all too real in this drug-like state of euphoric reverie. 10*!
