Shaded Memories
What if I wanted to crawl? To shun this world away...
Couldn't you let me disappear?
Seeing you now.
I can feel the ash from my heart
filter to my lungs.
Forgive me if my words are short.
You will always be a part of me.
In my red abyss. My imagination...
Follow me down.
But damn you, I will not give in.
I will not bow,
or hide behind a fake goddess.
I will stand up and face my shaking
reflection
that resides in your eyes.
I cannot hold on.
My grip grows weak,
and you feed upon my flaws.
But I will remember you,
as you are.
You are precious to me,
even though
I could do better.
Now burry me
in your thoughts of our love.
