    Surface

    I'm trapped here
in what I wish we could still be
    forever falling into
    an atmosphere of misery.

    Can't find my way out
    always trapped inside
I guess this is what has become
    of Brandi Deacon's life.

    Forgetting who we are
where we came from, who we'd be
    there's something out there,
but it's not enough for me.

    Surfacing sadness
    this pain that life contains
    settling with the less
    of all that remains.

    Cannot reach the surface
    gasping for air
    dreaming of your face
    in the memories, so fair.

    All of them were fake
like the love we once basked in
I guess where some endings start
    Others will begin.

    Forgetting who we are
where we came from, who we'd be
    there's other options out there
but they're not enough for me.

This is perfect in expression, flow , and honest simplicity which are three components for great writing. Ilove this.

Due to the chorus of this piece I could see this being longer, like a song. Having like a 2nd or 3rd chorus, but just an opinion. Sometimes the surface becomes so fake one simply learns how to survive in the drowning deep. And as you stated, "I guess were some endings start, Others will begin." - true shit. Every action causes a reaction. I've found afterwards that some things that ended were for the better. I tend to dress things up better than what they are, lying to myself. Delusional Grandeur. But anyway, a good honest release of a poem. In rhythmatic melody.

Thank you very much for reading and suggesting. It means a lot to me. :)

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
