    Poem Commentary

    I dedicate this poem to  the love lost in War. Within hearts carry them.

    Empty Arms

     It was snowing the day they met
    Their love was truly one one of a kind
    Soul mates becoming one as the clouds meet the sky
    Untouchable radiant penetrating souls
    They did everything together they did it all
    Joined at the hip they called them
    Spending every waking moment together
    Their love only grew stronger with time
    It was snowing the day he left army bound
    He sent letters she waited for everyone
    Her heart carried his love deep inside
    Cradled warmth from his letters kept her strong
    His letters stop coming
    He didn't return
    She cried weeping profoundly carrying her broken heart
    She grew old still his love was strong within her heart still lingered
    Reading every letter one by one over and over again
    One night reaching out for him closed her eyes and died
    Out side the window it was snowing
    There he was with open arms to meet her

    Life is a merry-go-round of memories played to the symphony of lost dreams. Death brings back visions that never reached the dream world and what could have been becomes a reality. It's all written in the words of a song. Let's call the song Empty Arms.. Thanks for sharing another wonderful verse. LOL,BDC.
