ENOUGH
It started out like any other day
The warm morning sun shining
A misty appearance surfaced from the ground
Giving a smokie rolling cloudy meltdown
The frosty ground all around us frozen
The ground sparkled like diamond dust
A cold breeze soon became bitter with cold
Warm mittens boots scarfs wrapped tightly around our necks
We headed out for a drive
The unexpected was soon to happen
It was a long way from here to there
Nothing in between lonely barren
The snow began to fall
Large flakes filled the air making it difficult to see
The wipers heavy with snow barely moving
All I could think of was the comforts of home
Hot chocolate marshmallows melted in my cup
A warm house fireplace and the comforts of home
Out the window the snow began to smother the road
The worried look on my face was hidden beneath my scarf
The thought of being left way out here scared me
Suddenly night fall was around us
We could barely see where we were going
Everything was white nothing in sight but snow
Darkness surround us no plows light nothing
When the car stopped running I thought we would surely die
We began to walk with the hopes to find help
It was all we could do hopelessly lost
When over the hill in the dark peered a light
The closer I got to realise
It was home home
