The Snake
In my flower garden there is a rainbow of colorsA rainbow of beauty many flowers to see
The smell of carnations sweetly scent the air
A flower bed of color everywhere
When picking flowers I came upon a noise
It hissed and wiggled the grass began to move
I stopped in my tracks to see what it was
Quietly no movement from me
It hissed and it wiggled making the grass move
Slowly one foot in front of the other
I made my move
I wanted to run I wanted to scream
It sounded like a snake to me
My heart was pounding
I wanted to cry
Oh me oh my
When suddenly Dad came to rescue me
With his big wand he started to look
All I wanted to do was boogie
It hissed and wiggled moving the grass around
When suddenly it jumped out at me
I ran with a wiggle screaming snake
When dad caught it by the tail
Now it wiggles and hisses to another tune
In the window of the zoo.
