Poem Commentary

It all starts again over and over generation to generation.

It all starts again

We came into this world as a babe
Being  loved we grew
We explored the world

School a bright new beginning
A world full of colors letters
Teachers with ideas
An open book to learn by
A big red paper apple

The latest new pair of shoes
A pretty dress new pants
It's a concert are they watching
We are in it

It's high school
There's a prom
We had a date flowers
Our first car
Plans for our future
Graduation ascends
Throwing hats in the air
We did it

It 's a big world
A college future with plans
Learning to depend on yourself
Our first job

Love blooms only to fall in love
A ring promises the rest
Marriage wedding bells ring

The patter of little feet
It all starts again

Growing old leaves the past
With memories holding vast

Now I lay me down to sleep
In hopes my body keeps
Thinking about the things I've done
I've got a grandson
 It all starts again

What can I say that your fans haven't already said? Wait!! I know ! When you are starting out the only logical way to go is up. Does that make sence. Sure it does! Think about it! This is a lovely portral of your thoughts but I don't like it! ......I love it!! LOL, BDC

Bettysrainbow, you speak very well, so succinctly and poignantly of the mystical continuity of life from one generation to another. "It all starts again" . Your homely and concrete imagery is very pleasing, and seems to be nostalgic to most people who see that you speak of the continuity of life as your theme. I admire the conversational style of this poem which is so simple, an infant chjild can enjoy and even comprehend. My rating for excellent treatment of your team is 10x10++

Simple is a good thing when it comes to poetry.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
