He Barked

Poem Commentary

This just a fun poem to write.

He Barked

He barked he roared like a lion
Marking his territorial  boundaries
Time of his own waits
Hidden in the shadows
Growls to be heard
Unaware unafraid she knows
He's a puppy inside
He melts with her touch
His growling wines
For the softness of her touch
She waits content knowing full well
He makes time for her
He's the head of his home
Yet shares his domain
With only her
Lets his lioness speak
When night time calls
He cuddles them all
His bark now purrs
Like a kitten she knows

I so like this, having strong ties with the cat-family... and loving most their warm cuddles, followed by an appreciation of their ability to keep a straight face, considering how much they play....

Some of us have to roar to be heard...others only need to purr. A sweet little poem by you, Betty......................................gogant

Well crafted poetic work that conveys its warm message without frills and gimmicks. Nice.

Thank you I appreciate you looking in on poems.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
