    It was September

It was September the wind was blowing
Sofly across my face embracesing my soul
Oh if I could have took flight
I would have spread my wings
    Towering over the mountains
    Enjoying the view with you
    A dive with a twirl a roll
    Peacefullysmoothly becoming one
    A splendid feeling of peice
I'd sit on the clouds hold hands with you
But since I can't will a bench do
    Happy Valentines Day My Darling

A gravity breaking fantasy, pulled down to earth by a park bench. Excellent and humorous in last stanza!

This is a cool poem! What better way to partner, than to take the dive together...but then again, a park bench is just as nice.

Maybe by plane. LOL A little humor never hurts.A good laugh is music to the soul.

I guess a bench is as good a place as any to hold hands and love each other, and fly away to some enchanted marvelous place.

    A little humor. Thank you

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
