    Halloween

     Cookies and candy costumes and things
    Ghosts and cats and scary things
    Pumpkins made into jackal lanterns
    Children in costumes all ready for the night
    Soon trick or treat will  be in sight
    We look at the moon so big and bright
    A Witch will soon be in sight
    Door to door the children go
    Mommies and daddies will follow
    Lots of candy in their bags
    Oh the tummy aches they will have
    All bathed in their beds
    They will dream about their candy
    The costumes what fun they had

    This was my favorite holiday...loved it more than Christmas. Now that I am older, the memories are what make me try to make it fun for others. Good poem.
