    Woooo the romance in life .What fun. Together forever !

    The Night Moon

     It was the moon so big so bright
    That caught my eye that night
    Within it's luster I saw you
    It brought me to you
    A midnight dance beneath the stars
    I heard the band from across the room
    Pick your partner please
    You picked me and I you
    We knew together forever
    We would always be
    As you held me tight
    I knew right then
    In the moment you'd be mine
    I held in my arms the love of my life
    In yours you held mine
    Lets grow old together you and I
    When the band plays our song
    On our favorite night
    We'll look at the moon so big so bright
    We'll remember It was on that moonlit night
    When together forever we knew

    Awesome picture! I zoomed in to see your photo of the water/mountains up close, and I loved it! I think it is a great way to start a poem, plus I liked your title, "The Night Moon". I love the moon, moon poetry, and tonight there was a full moon, so it seems natural to read this poem. I like it. I must say that I am a songwriter first, a poet 2nd or 3rd or maybe even last... In songwriting, we write as we would speak. I quote, "...the moon so big bright" is better stated in a natural form (the way we speak normally), "...the moon so big, so bright". If you were doing this intentionally, perhaps to get the syllable count right, that is your choice. Just know that it sounds awkward in a very good poem. The poem is very well balanced and to the point. I think the poem is special because there is not a single living man or woman that does not have some special connection with another human being, exactly the way as you describe. You have a poem that "connects" with everyone.

    this is absolutely wonderful. Is it as song as well as a poem. I think these lyrics would be wonderful in a song.

    It gets even worse when the initial "eye" is missing from "immortalized", extraordinary has lot an "a" and MEMORIES has exxhanged its "O" for another "E".

    Well I was wondering if typos count against us in poetry ? Proof reading should take care of that I guess.You can't go back until after the contest.
