    A Happy Ending

    Give me a happy ending,

    The way they did for you.

    The kind of loving bliss from a story,

    A story that I wish was true.


    The happy ending that I want,

    Seems to end like a song -

    It fades out to joy and love,

    This ending is ever long.


    A happy ending is all I want,

    One that comes from a dream.

    I want to wake from this living nightmare,

    I want to stop this scream.


    You were happy, with friends and pride,

    Everything you'd wanted, you got.

    You were more deserving than I,

    But this seems to be my lot.


    We all seek a happy ending,

    We all want your love.

    I can't get close by loving you,

    And watching from above.


    Give me a happy ending,

    The way they did for you.

    My happy ending is simply your love,

    All I need is you.
