My Mirror
I look in the mirror
At my face I gaze.
Why don't I recognise it?
It all such a haze.
Trapped in the glass,
My reflection is real.
I should be the image -
I'm the one who can't feel.
I don't know myself,
Which of us is true?
Why am I not on the wall,
Gazing back at you?
I look in my mirror,
The image is a lie.
But if I break my mirror,
Will one or both of us die?
I look in my mirror,
Looking reality in the eyes.
Images full of spite look back,
So many untold lies.
Why is my refection not myself?
Why is it not me?
Why I am so dead inside?
How much more truth can I see?
