    If I Could

    If I could I would scale a mountain,

    A mountain of hope, away from my world.

    If I could I would leave this all behind,

    Leave the deceptions of beauty, like a flower unfurled.

    If I could I would ride into the sun,

    Into the light from which happiness starts.

    I would ride with my prince,

    One soul with two hearts.

    If I could I would be a fearless warrior,

    Feared and loved by the people I meet.

    I would ride without fear, with a sword at my side,

    And the feel of the earth beneath my bare feet.

    If I could I would dive the deepest ocean,

    Dive till the water crushes down on me.

    I'd escape the lies of the world above,

    And gaze upon wonders that people wish they could see.

    If I could, I would, I'd be a different person,

    The person that I truly wish I could be.

    If I could I would, I'd be free at last!

    If I could, I would, believe me.
