Lady of the Lake
A woman cloaked in grey,
Fading against the sky -
Invisible to time and space
And with the freedom now to fly.
Clothed in the blue of stone
She passes like the rain -
Floating softly by,
No more drowning in her pain.
Cast this woman glances,
Catch her if you can -
But remember she has drifted
Since before the world began.
She holds the wisdom of the world
Behind her cold, blind eyes.
And she herself is a secret
As over the Earth she flies.
Her freedom is endless,
It conquers the earth and air.
And even there at our world's end,
Her presence shall be there.
