Gold
Alone in the dark,
Awaiting a sign.
All this gold is decayed,
The glitter rusted by time.
Majestic to see,
Many years ago -
But gone now, the way
No one living does know.
Trapped in the gold,
The lost souls cry out.
But the gold is unfeeling,
Silent to their shout.
Decaying gold,
It's pride long gone.
And now lost souls are trapped
In it's faded battle song.
The gold disappears,
It's glitter no more.
But the souls remain trapped
In it's lost tales of lore.
