I Remember You
I remember you, as if from a dream,A shadow of a memory.
When I close my eyes I remember you,
But how can this be?
We have never met, you and I,
I know this to be true.
But I know you, I know your soul,
And so I remember you.
You are a ghost, from the distant past,
A ghost from long ago.
Yet I remember you, I love you,
And I don't know how this is so.
I love you even though we've never met,
And I think of you each day.
Your shadow of a face haunts me,
And your name is more than I can say.
One thing I am sure of on this Earth
Is I'll remember you till the end.
I remember you, and all I know
Is you are my memory, my love, my friend.
