My love, my passion, my awe.

Did I ever tell you how with one smile from you

My heart and soul would soar?

Did I ever tell you the pain I felt

To watch you love another?

To know that I would never be yours -

Not your friend, your meaning, your lover.

Did I ever show you the tears I shed

For your sweet memory?

Could you see the pain you caused

That raged and burned inside of me?

Did I ever tell you it was your fault?

I died for you, my love.

That this pain in me at last would cease,

And my soul fly like a dove.

Did I ever tell you how I planned this day

So you would find me here?

That you would see my flowing blood,

And maybe shed a tear.

I hope someday you'll love me too?
